Multiwinia Co-op Details & Launch Date

by the hammer of Kevin Alexander!

As I mentioned Monday in my preview of Multiwinia there’s going to be online co-op included in the title that launches “this fall”. I contacted Introversion to clear up the details and here’s what they had to say:

We’re due to launch on September 19th. There will be a vast choice of competitive maps available to play across the 6 modes and co-op maps are available on three of the game modes. Maps will range from 2, 3 to 4-player – all the co-op maps will be 4 player.

That date is confirmed for the PC launch on Steam, UK retail and their own store. Darwinia+ will be hitting XBLA later this year and they’re still trying to nail down retail releases outside of the UK. We’ll check back in when we find out more.

Trials 2: Second Edition Is Masochistic Fun For All

by the hammer of Kevin Alexander!

You will fall bitches!

Sometimes it just happens. Sometimes you just don’t know when to quit. You’re getting your ass kicked from every possible angle and though you can see where it all will end, the journey will kill you instead of making you stronger. The thing is, you love every second of it and gleefully go back for more again and again. Such is the way of Trials 2: Second Edition. Continue Reading »

AudioSurf gets a free (and substantial) update

by the hammer of Dan Zuccarelli!

We’ve praised AudioSurf in the past for it’s ability to take (just about) any music file on your computer and turn it into a game. The next time you log into Steam a free update for the game will be downloaded that’s going to add a decent amount of functionality to the already incredible game.

Most interesting is probably the last.fm audioscrubbing and a new “freeride” which looks to be essentially a visualizer. It takes an already “must-play” game and makes it even better!

Seriously, buy this game. Full list of new features after the break! Continue Reading »

Team Fortress 2 is free this weekend!

by the hammer of Jim Squires!

Haven’t had a chance to play Team Fortress 2 yet? Well once you get out of the shame corner, hop on your PC and click here. Why? Because Valve is making the game free this weekend, that’s why. You’ll be able to download and play TF2, along with Gold Rush , it’s latest update featuring new map, mode, item management and medic skills, absolutely free until the end of tomorrow night.

As a 360 TF2′er, I’m going to give this thing a download myself. Depending on how well it runs on my shitastic laptop, I may end up making the switch. After all — waiting for all of this new content to hit the 360 is like waiting for the Book of Revelations to happen.
