Mafia II Trailer

by the hammer of Kevin Alexander!

This is the great part about being patient, you don’t have to sit through the Spike Video Game Awards to see the good stuff!

If you missed the first game PLEASE do not pick up one of the gimped-ass console versions and play it how it was meant to be played, on a PC.

God Of War III Trailer

Short, sweet and majorly boner-enducing.

Still no word on whether or not this is Ready At Dawn making the game, but I sure do hope so!

Oh Look! A New Halo Game!

by the hammer of Kevin Alexander!

As announced in the middle of last friggin’ night (it was in Japan) here’s the announcement trailer for what we now know as Halo 3 Recon:

I have to be totally honest, this got me kind of excited. Not because I’m a Halo lore nerd but because I love playing the Halo campaigns.

On the other hand is this the first sign of a possible “Guitar-Heroing” of the Halo franchise? Supposedly there’s about 5 or 6 other Halo games in the works so we’ll have to sit tight and see.

Mega Man 9 trailer, multiplatform confirmed

by the hammer of Jim Squires!

There’s been a lot of talk about Mega Man 9 and where you’ll be able to play it. First it was WiiWare exclusive. Then it wasn’t. Then it was again. Then it wasn’t. Now courtesy of the official trailer coming out of E3 it looks like we can confirm that it will appear on WiiWare, Live Arcade and the PlayStation Store.

Yeah, this news has been out for a couple of days — but hey — it gave me an excuse to post this kick ass trailer. Part of me wants to hate this one, but seeing MM9 in action (how cool is the elephant??) keeps my loins at their moistest.

Gears of War 2 trailer — better than Mad World?

by the hammer of Jim Squires!

To this day, if someone asks me what my favorite game trailer is I can answer within a split second. Gears of War’s Mad World commercial was effective on so many levels. It actually evoked emotion. When was the last time a commercial evoked emotion? So this begs the question — why was I so surprised when Epic did it again?

Bonus points to the first reader who can tell me what the audio is. Gears of War 2 is going to be sweet.

Kevin argues that Blizzard still trumps Epic in terms of cinematics. After this and the original Mad World trailer, I be to differ. What say you?

Street Fighter IV looks EPIC.

by the hammer of Jim Squires!

I know, I know. I’m coming a little late to the party on this one. Capcom released this new SFIV trailer last week, and much like the song that accompanies it, it’s epic. Now if only the song was performed by Faith Restored, the whole package would sum up my feeling on SF after watching this. Dhalsim FTW.
