It’s be an understatement to say we’re excited here at theBBPS (well at least Ryan and I) about the realization that WipeoutHD is available to purchase on the ‘ol PS3. We’re been waiting for what seems like forever, and I for one am damn ready to risk seizures to play this damn game.

So to celebrate Ryan created this kick-ass desktop wallpaper, in glorious 1920X1200 cause he takes his shit seriously. Around here we just love to share and share-alike with you our faithful readers. So please, d/l and enjoy!

As we put a lid on this week of lovely desktops I look back over the course of the week and I think this one may be my favorite. Mostly because it’s just so weird.

There Will Be Blood in the Shadow of the Colossus. Daniel Day Lewis might have put in a Oscar worthy performance in the eternally long movie, but that Colossus headed his way couldn’t care less. He’s gonna wreck shop.

Video game mashup time, with Pac-Man and ghost playing Zelda cosplay! Ghost-link seems as just as annoyed by Pac-Navi as the rest of us get with the real navi.

This one wasn’t quite widescreen, but through my master photoshop skillz I managed to create this picture that will be remembered for all time.

Castle Crashers has been quite the darling little game and has found a way in warm the cold dark places where our hearts used to be. It’s nice to feel human every once in a while.

Today’s features a cool artistic take on Old Snake from Metal Gear Solid 4. My “meh-ness” about this game has been well documented on the site here but that doesn’t stop me from being able to appreciate this sweet looking desktop.

So I’ve been seeing a good number of game related wallpapers flow past my field of vision lately, and some really good ones at that. I’ve cherry picked the best few that I have at the moment, and am sharing up one a day for the entire week!

They vary in sizes, but they’re all larger than 1024X768 so you shouldn’t have a problem getting it cropped down or whatever to fit in your lovely OS of choice.

First up was one I tracked down after reading Jimmy’s LittleBigPlanet community story from a few days back. As usual click the pic to get the big one!

What has two thumbs and still loves talking about Braid? This guy (then I point at myself with said thumbs).

I was digging around for some of the music from the game in an effort to put together a forthcoming episode of KBBPS (Spoiler!) and lo and behold what do I find on the front page? A link to a huge collection of wallpapers, icons and more put together by game artist David Hellman. Best part? It’s all free!
