What has two thumbs and still loves talking about Braid? This guy (then I point at myself with said thumbs).

I was digging around for some of the music from the game in an effort to put together a forthcoming episode of KBBPS (Spoiler!) and lo and behold what do I find on the front page? A link to a huge collection of wallpapers, icons and more put together by game artist David Hellman. Best part? It’s all free!

As you might have guessed from the title of this post he’s calling it the Braid Graphics Briefcase, and you can go and download the goods here. Enjoy you fine people.

I’m certainly excited about Street Fighter IV, but this wallpaper has nothing to do with that. It popped up as I trolled 4chan looking for some new desktops for my new netbook laptop. I dug the art style and though you all would enjoy it.

That’s it, no high minded reasoning just bringing the cool shit to the masses! Enjoy

This one here comes straight from Braid artist David Hellman’s website. There’s actually quite a few posts about the art direction for Braid, and it’s most definitely worth a read.

But he ends with that he presents as a background for someone running not one, not two but three monitors! Now I seriously doubt most readers here are running triple wide, but if you are snap up a pic and we’ll feature your extreme nerdery on the site!

This wallpaper makes me smile. It’s just so happy and retro. Seriously, throw this little bad boy on your desktop and you’ll never be able to not smile wen you’re looking at Link and Zelda Marin. They’re just so happy in their 1920X1200 world!

As pointed out below this isn’t Link and Zelda at all, but Link and Marin from Links Awakening! Thanks a ton for the correction!

It’s been a little bit since we’ve shared some wallpapers with you guys, but everyone always seems to enjoy them so I’m happy to present a few new finds to spruce up your desktop.

Based on the iconic Lancer from the Gears of War series, which is pretty hard to miss what with the chainsaw bayonet and all. It’s a weapon that’s both completely ridiculous and completely awesome all at the same time. What better way to show co-workers you mean business when you minimize that Powerpoint program?

We’ve seen a few examples of the Team Fortress 2 classes represented as women before, but this one is by far my favorite. On top of the sheer artistic skill so obviously at work here, there’s a crazy-high attention to detail (like the evening dress for the spy. Each woman here is done flawlessly, and it’d be hard to pick a favorite (though I’m leaning towards the scout).

Now these wallpapers aren’t nearly as large as the last few we’ve featured here, but I started playing Ouendan 2 a few days back and when I saw these they just seemed to call out to me. It’s as if I truly believe that any day now a group of dudes are going to show up and dance their way through my problems!
