Here’s a good example of how reviews can influence people. Before I watched Yahtzee’s take on Saints Row 2, I wasn’t really interested in playing it. Now? Oh yea, I’ll be getting this game at some point soon(ish).

We loved it. Naturally, he hated it.

But there’s a good reason for his displeasure…. he played the Wii version.

We’ve definitely moved away from posting these Zero Punctuation reviews every week, but this one made me laugh enough that I felt like it was post worthy. The guy’s grasp of the metaphor almost makes me wish he’d ditch the fast-talking thing and write a column somewhere.

This week he takes on Bionic Commando and Castle Crashers

Yahtzee is typically hard on games, and even a little over-bearing to point out a game’s flaws for comedic effect. But he really hits all the right points here. I personally loved me some Sands of Time, and while I did make it all the way through Warrior Within the emo stuff really was a bad decision. But those Dahaka sections just kicked so much ass that it pretty much made up for the crappier story for me.

By the time Two Thrones had come out I had kinda moved past Prince of Persia, though looking back on it maybe I just tried to play it at a bad time and should give it another shot.

Last weeks episode about Alone in the Dark was one of his best… can his take on Age of Conan live up to it?
