Well after some scheduling conflicts (what else is new, right?) we're back to the "old" crew for this week's show as Dan, Ryan and I sit around and mope about our current lack of enthusiasm for gaming. Don't worry though, it's not all doom and gloom!
This week we don't care about:
What'cha Been Playing...or Not (Start - 29:25)
Budgeting Your "Offseason" Gaming Time (29:38 - 42:22)
One Last Thing (42:23 - End)
If you'd like to leave us some feedback or ask us a question, drop one in the comments for this episode or email us at thebbps (at) gmail (dot) com. As always you can also drop me a voicemail on Skype at kevin-alexander so until next week, thanks for checking out the show!
Hey guys, been listening to the podcast for a little while now. The voice actor for Sgt. Forge from Halo Wars, the Prince from the new PoP, and Nathan Drake from Uncharted is Nolan North. From a quick look at his IMDB page, he seems to be pretty prolific in video games and voice acting stuff. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0636046/
Re: demos for PSN and XBLA, I think that having demos is a good thing in certain cases. There are certain cases where demos are definitely a bad thing as in the case of War World for the XBLA - the demo was 60 seconds long and that was it... not a good way to convince people to buy your game. It's even more painful when you get the couple minutes of videos/screens showing the 'features' and stuff that are in the full game when you're quitting back to the game library.
One demo that DID convince me to buy the game was Crackdown's. I hadn't heard a lot about it (besides that the Halo 3 multiplayer beta was going to be included) but after playing that demo over and over and over, I was hooked and picked it up first day. I never ended up touching the Halo 3 beta! Crackdown also has me really pumped for inFamous which looks to be a more structured, amped-up version of Crackdown which makes me very happy.

The one game I'll always come back to, for my 'offseason' gaming (if that ever happens)? Cave Story.
It's just such a well crafted, amazing little game, with so much heart and spirit behind it. There's just something about the quality and pure fun factor of it that keeps calling me back, time after time.
So...yeah. If you haven't played it yet, I really recommend going and doing so.

GIS? I know what the W signifies, I'm just wondering what the drawing is from.

So I posted my first comment before finishing the podcast, but yeah... I dunno if it's the time of the year, or maybe I just tired myself out by powering through RE5 a couple times but I haven't been feeling like playing any games either lately. I look at the stack of unfinished games I'd like to beat eventually and just go "Nah...". I have been doing quite a bit of navigating for my girlfriend as she plays Lost Odyssey but that's about it.
There are two games that I'll always come back to to just play through whenever I feel like it. Earthbound and Final Fantasy III/VI. I love the quirky ass humour in Earthbound and FFIII was my first real intro to RPGs besides some dabbling in FFI on the original NES. But that opening scene of the Magitek armor marching on Narshe with the theme playing in the background will always stick with me.
