While I agree Resident Evil 5 controls are bad but you really can't compare then to Halo's controls. also I don't think a cover system would really work in a Resident Evil game.

Yes, what good is cover if the enemies aren't shooting at you? Unless they are. I haven't played it. But zombies using guns is innovative.

Grim, when they turn a game into a shooter it's fare to compare the controls to another shooter that has the controls down to a science.

Who says RE5 is a shooter? It's an action adventure game. Halo and COD are shooters, I don't understand why you would compare the two when its obvious they have been designed differently.

They sure have been designed differently, two of them have been designed well and the other one...not so much. smilies/wink.gif

No Kevin is right, Resident Evil has turned into a shooter and the controls should have been changed to match that. With that said, You really can't compare a FPS to a 3rd person game. Both genres have a different camera and control feel.

You should have compared it to Dead Space. Dead Space is a Resident Evil rip-off that gets it right. With that game on the market there is no reason why RE5 should still have tank controls.

RE being turned into a shooter is the exact reason I quit paying attention to the series. : /

Don't like shooters much, and when I *do* feel like playing one, there are waaay too many on the market right now to bother with RE and it's refusal to update it's controls.

SUGGESTION TO IMPROVE THE PODCAST:

More Jimmy and a helluva lot less interrupting, rambling and generally annoying Ryan.
